 Anant Chaturdashi 2021:This festival is celebrated on the day of immersion i.e. at the end of Shri Ganesh Mahotsav. This festival is also known as Anant Chaudas. On Anant Chaturdashi, the infinite form of Lord Vishnu is worshipped and his blessings are obtained. It is said that on this day the worship of Anant Dev i.e. Lord Vishnu gives many times more fruits. There is a tradition of tying infinite threads after worship. There are 14 knots in this thread and it is made of silk or cotton. According to the belief, many types of obstacles and negative energy are removed from the house by tying infinite threads, worshiping and fasting on this day.

Anant Chaturdashi auspicious time

This year, the auspicious time of Anant Chaturdashi Puja will start from 6.07 am on 19th September 2021 till 5.30 am on the next day i.e. 20th September 2021. That is, the total duration of Shubh Muhurta will be 23 hours and 22 minutes.

Anant Chaturdashi Puja Method

The person observing Anant Chaturdashi fast, after taking bath in the morning, wear clean clothes and prepare for worship. Clean the place of worship, then spread a yellow cloth on a post and take a vow of fast by installing an idol or picture of Lord Vishnu on the post. Then take a formula, dye it in turmeric and tie 14 knots in it. In the worship, offer the favorite things of Lord Vishnu, which includes yellow flowers and yellow colored sweets, at the feet of the Lord. Also offer basil leaves. After worshiping, offering bhog and aarti, dedicate infinite sutras at the feet of Lord Vishnu. Complete the worship with Vishnu Chalisa, Vishnu Stuti and Aarti.
